End of the Season

Summer is long gone, I suppose. Here are some photos from the end of the season at Longshore Sailing School.

These kayaks were all lined up at the marina.

Don came over from Greenwich Community Sailing (the baby sister school of LSS) to help get all the docks out of the water. Aside from being generally amazing, Don was one of the first people who inspired me to try longboarding.

The dock, dismembered. Normally, there are twice as many motorboats, four times as many sailboats, and each of the sailboats would have its standing and running rigging. The dock would also be much larger to carry all of those boats, but we had already taken those pieces off.

It's tough to focus on taking photographs during postseason, since there's so much work to do with such little staff. This seastar here was on route to drying out and dying. There were hundreds covering the docks, and the all dropped off once we pulled the docks out.
